Ques 1 What is the Application Procedure?
By choosing a New Zealand education, you are going to be a part of international students who are getting benefit from an erudition environment that encourages ground-breaking thinking and accomplishment. Once you have found the New Zealand institution and course of study you wish to apply for, take the following steps to enroll yourself:
1.Complete the relevant application form(s) for your chosen course/s and return them to GSL. Include a Photo, Educational Documents (originals or certified photocopies) and Certified Translations, as required.
2.We will obtain an 'Offer of Place' letter confirming commencement dates and course details, and an invoice for the tuition fee.
3.Complete the relevant Student Visa Form(s). Include all Documents required by Immigration New Zealand. GSL will assist you with all this.
4.Once Immigration pre approve Student Visa, Pay the fee to the institution.
5.The institution will send you a confirmation of payment.
6.Let the institution/GSL know when you are arriving, so accommodation can be arranged and you can be met at the airport.

Ques 2 What are the courses available for higher studies?
A wide-range of courses would be available in the University/Institute Brochure and also on the University Web sites. It differs from university to university. Most of the universities have almost all courses from undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA, research degrees (MPhil, PhD) to be offered to international students. GSL can assist the applicant in making a right and a balanced choice after learning their requirements following an informal discussion on various relevant subjects. Ques 3 Are the degrees from Australia and NZ recognized in India?
Degrees from the Universities represented by Global Study Link are globally recognized. Generally degrees taught in any country and recognized by the Government of that country is recognized in India. For certain professional qualifications such as Medicine, Law, Dentistry etc. professional registration may be required.

Ques 4 What is an IELTS and how do I take the exam?
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) examinations test the English proficiency of students in the area of their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. The British counsel conducts this examination. They offer tests in both general and academic English. Universities only accept the academic English test results. Please visit www.ielts.org to find an IELTS center close to you.

Ques 5 What does it cost to study overseas?
Many international students have a high regard for the standard of living in New Zealand. In general, the cost of living is similar to that in Australia, and less than in Britain. The cost of education, in particular, is highly competitive, which means that in New Zealand, you can afford a world-class education. It costs 45 cents to post a letter within New Zealand. A Big Mac at McDonald's costs $3.95. Local telephone calls are free. Public transport is more expensive than in countries with greater population density. It is recommended that tertiary students budget for up to $20,000 in living expenses per annum.

Ques 6 What kind of accommodation could I get while my course?

Ques 7 Is getting a part-time job difficult?
No. It is not so difficult to get a part-time job. In fact, If you are open to all kinds of genuine work, securing a part-time job could be very easy too.
In fact you are cherished for all kinds of work in the other countries and your part-time job is also a learning house for you as it offers you a chance of improving upon your communication skills, exposes you to real-time work, initiates you to interact with different people, improves the confidence level and above all assists you with the better handling of your expense account.

Ques 8 Can I take my spouse with me if I am going on a student visa? Will he or she be able to work?
Yes, you can take your spouse with you. In most cases your spouse can work in New Zealand. Please consult us for this.

Ques 9 Are international students eligible to receive free health/medical care while studying in New Zealand?
International students are not entitled to publicly funded health/medical care services while in New Zealand. If you receive medical treatment during your visit, you may be liable for the full costs of that treatment. It has now become compulsory under New Zealand law for international students to have travel / health insurance before coming here to study.

Ques 10 How is the Information Technology (IT) sector in New Zealand?

Ques 11 Can I work/settle overseas after my qualification?
Students in NZ will get one year Full time Open Work Permit on completion of their qualification. However, in order to settle (or permanent residency) Applicant has to be aware of Government regulations. Our counselor’s can provide the Government website details and general information. Australia and NZ give additional point advantage to PR applicants who hold qualifications from their countries and students with certain qualifications may be able to apply onshore without leaving the country after their studies.
